TRISKELION PENDANT

Life is a flowing dance.

The Triskelion Pendant represents the natural constant cycle of ‘beginning, middle, and end’ that is held in harmony, and is always flowing.

The Triskelion is the triple spiral, and it is one of the oldest symbols which has been found carved into stone from millennia ago. 

Famously found at the Newgrange Monument, Ireland, this symbol reaches back to the Neolithic and can be traced to Malta’s Megalithic Temples, from around 4,400-3,600 BCE.

The Triskelion has been understood to represent the ‘Three Realms’ of land, sea, and sky; as well as the eternal cycles of life, death, and rebirth.

The flow of life is found within its spirals—a symbol of constant motion, and the interconnectedness of all things.

I carved this talisman to resemble ancient rock carvings. It is primitive in its design, and feels earthy and grounding.

The Making: 

I sculpted this piece using the lost wax method before it was cast in silver. This is an ancient process, and the aesthetic is raw and rustic, to evoke the feeling of an unearthed or found artefact.
