Description:

This piece carries an ancient lineage of protection. The folklore surrounding sea urchins spans thousands of years and crosses many cultures. They have been believed to be magical and deeply protective.

Sea urchin spines fall off after they die, leaving a hard round shell with a beautiful radial pattern.

I shaped this pendant to preserve the intricate, radial textures of the original shell—a biological architecture designed to shield it from the pressure of the deep. By crowning the silver with a 9ct gold heart, this amulet becomes a guardian of your own inherent brilliance and resilience.

This pendant is made entirely by hand. Each one is unique, with slight variations in texture that speak to the organic nature of the design.
