Description
A wearable homage to the great mediator of thresholds.
Across every major civilisation, the serpent has existed in a state of high-integrity duality: the creator and the destroyer; the bringer of life and the harbinger of chaos. It is the primary archetype of Impermanence—a creature that physically outgrowths its own skin to emerge renewed. Serpents have been honoured as guardians of the sacred and protectors of the land, mediating between the earthly and spiritual realms.
In Norse mythology, the World Serpent, Jörmungandr, maintains the equilibrium of the earth by encircling it until the moment of the great remaking. By coiling the ancient serpent around the finger, this ring serves as a guardian of your personal boundaries and a reminder that power and wisdom are born through the fires of transformation.
I hand-textured the silver to provide a raw, tactile surface that catches the light in the "scales." It is designed to be worn as protection and as an anchor for those who walk between worlds.
